Urethral Cyst Diagnostic

Question:

“I’m a 32 yr old male and on occasion I will have a pinching sensation in the head of my penis. It’s not incredibly frequent, but happens more lately. If it was an urethral cyst, what would the symptoms be? And do they go away on their own? If not, Can you live with it or is surgery recommended? Is the removal process painful or can I get anesthesia?”

Answer:

An urethral cyst is an extremely rare condition.  Usually occasional discomfort in the head of the penis can happen.  Commonly, in our practice, we do not worry or treat it unless it is a constant and debilitating condition.
